The training in Drama Therapy and Play Therapy presupposes the one- year mandatory attendance of “Creative Journeys” , whose purpose is to familiarise students with the techniques of Drama Therapy and Play Therapy before their actual three – year training in either Drama Therapy.
The “Creative Journeys” consists of independent groups of creative expression, and they last one academic year. They are based on expressive techniques such as voice , movement, improvision , roles, myths, fairy tales, play, drawing, clay, sand, etc.,through which the individual is facilitated to recognise, express and expand his/hes dynamic.
In addition to the above , these groups also offer hands -on experience of the therapeutic methods of Drama Therapy and Play Therapy. They constitute the foundation year of training in the therapeutic techniques of Drama Therapy and Play Therapy.
